Thanks to all of you who offered your prayers and thoughts for my Mom. Something must be going well because this weekend she was back to her self with an appetite and good color. My Dad has more help in and gotten the hang of the Hoyer lift they have to use to transfer Mom (she can't even stand well & she's a big lady).
I've arranged for my daughter to fly home from law school in New York for the weekend before T'giving just to be be sure she sees Mom before something happens. My brother & nephews are also going to make an effort to get up from Florida.
Another good thing - selling is picking up because of pre-holiday shopping. Having to concentrate to get out things out on time; want to start listing more but stress levels are still high enough that I'm getting few photos done much less prettied up.
I have a new (for me) collection of goodies to sell. I have a clothes store that I'm converting totally to vintage. I now have great hats & purses along with vintage ties, bow ties, shoes & some sweaters.
The other new area is Victorian jewelry. I recently "bagged" a gorgeous Art N. Brass Necklace with grape vines & glass grapes. Gonna post that on RTTR so I can get some idea of pricing; I id'd it from "fabulous fakes" but that's not a price guide. It's also a pretty rare piece.
Also found a G. Jensen but I think I'm going to keep that awhile just to fondle it....
(I thrift shop as a way to handle stress; easier on the body than Hagen Dass. Plus not so expensive per value either!)
Thanks again! Leslye
