The high today is a mere 50 degrees. Warmer than some areas, cooler than others. For us, it is the typical Fall weather. A colorful assortment of reds, yellows and oranges blossoming in their own rite in every direction. I am a gardener by hobby and like others thoroughly enjoy the Spring season and all it’s offering of home grown bounty. But, unlike some I know, I enjoy the blossoms of Fall just as much and perhaps even more so. I realize that the assortment of shapes and sizes admired in Sprin…

I have been going into the Etsy chat room and having so much fun chatting with fellow members from The Vintage Village, as well as other vintage loving people who pop in. I have gotten to know some of you, and we have really had some great chats. Not only are the chats fun, but also informative. It's a nice mix of both actually. I even had a sale through one of the chats which is always nice.
Please note, anyone can start this chat. Use the title "Vintage Village Love" and they will find you :)…

I closed my second shop on Etsy , it did well for awhile but Life is getting very busy for me again so I thought it best just to concentrate on the one . My one year anniversary is coming up at Etsy and I'm trying to think of a way to celebrate it with former buyers ( and future one too ) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance !

In this blog, I plan to feature a different shop each day.

I have been working very hard at getting ready for a big promotion organized by a group here on Vintage Village, which meant learning a lot of new tricks. To get ready for this I had to:
Start a BUSINESS Facebook page
Open a TWITTER account
Gather all information, publish and copy links.
Figure out how to get all my information on my VintageVillage page with LIVE LINKS!!
Well...I have a huge headache, but it could in part be because...I ACTUALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO ALL OF THE ABOVE...and…

This is probably doubly blasphemous because I'm writing this -- and posting this -- on a Sunday. I will surely be sent to dark Hades for my actions yesterday which all innocently enough took place while selling our merch at an outdoor event.
We had the Pope for sale, you see. Not the current one but the super-beloved John Paul II. It was a heavy statue issued by the Danbury Mint that simply stated "Millenium Blessing." Kept under wraps, it never even made it to…

I'm so happy that my vintage hankies sold today but, I have to be honest, I'm going to miss them. Are you ever just a tad bit sad to see something go?

This spring season do not forget to shop for scarves to wear as accessories to your outfits! There is nothing like a nice bright vintage scarf to add detail and attention to your outfit. Dress up a t-shirt, shirt, blouse or jacket with one.

I guess pick could be a play on words. I have always loved antique combs...the more elaborate, the better. They are great to have out on a dressing table just for decoration. I have long hair but not enough to keep one of these in place.

I figured all you people might want to know at least a little bit of who I am and my background before following the crazy, jewelry making, blogging person.
Well to start out, my name is Kayla and I am a November baby(that's right, Scorpio through and through). I was named after a soap opera star. Yes, that's a little TOO much detail, but I love that story =] I am 19 years young and simply cannot believe I will be 20 this year. I was raised a none practicing catholic, however the past few years…
