My cat, Mrs. Tiggywinkle (left me at age 18) went from being roly-poly to super skinny and it was because her thyroid went wonky. She was put on meds and lived for many years after that. Just a thought...I have 3 kitties now, one is super skinny and is nearly 20 years old. She had a urinary tract infection years ago but refused her pills so I gave up. She's still kickin', eats and drinks like a horse but is still pretty spry! I call her the Grand Dame;) Anyroo, I do so feel for you--they are just like children:)
